Think of it this way, when your Mom starts wearing a Von Dutch trucker hat, it's time to move on (whereas some of us moved on when Ashton and Britney were photographed wearing theirs).
And, thanks to the Internet, a bazillion new cable channels, blogs, zines, etc., The Lifecycle of Hipness is moving faster and faster than ever before. In fact, the damn thing is spinning out-of-control!
